Each year the Anoka County Transportation Department has a snow plow on display at the County Fair so residents can vote to name it. The winner for 2025 was recently announced.

In late October a truck carrying a bridge on Minnesota highway 65 struck the County Road 10 bridge in Spring Lake Park, causing significant damage. According to MnDOT repairs will take months.
