The pandemic has caused Toys for Joy to have more demand with families in need but operate are being asked to operate with fewer volunteers.

Cars for Neighbors is a local non-profit in their twentieth year. Their mission is to provide car repairs for people who cannot afford to have their vehicle fixed. Through a new partnership, they are doing that, while also making the cars more efficient and less polluting.

Because of all the challenges of a pandemic, the SBM Fire Department’s Santa Parade has been partially rescheduled.

The Anoka County Board of Commissioners honored many county departments at last week’s board meeting. Typically, these honors are reserved for individual employees; but this year, with all the challenges, the board did things a little differently.
