A record amount of youth soccer teams returns to the National Sports Center July 11-19 for the annual global gathering known as the Target USA Cup. Once again Blaine will become the center of the soccer universe as the city hosts this popular event.

A North Metro grade school student is giving back in a big way and a local food shelf is benefiting from her kindness and motivation.

In late May the SBM safety house was parked at Northpoint Elementary School. This trailer is used by the department to simulate scenarios to teach kids about fire prevention.
